Eden Unlocked Publishing was born in a correctional facility. As a chaplain working with men and women inside Regina Correctional Centre, Chaplain Zee saw firsthand what a letter could do — not just a letter from a loved one, but a letter from a stranger who decided someone in a forgotten place was worth the cost of a stamp.

That single conviction grew into a publishing house: one that helps faith-based organizations bring their written work to life, and one that makes sure that same printed hope finds its way behind walls.

I have seen what a letter can do.

Working inside Regina Correctional Centre as a chaplain, I have watched hope arrive in an envelope. I have seen men straighten — actually straighten — when something addressed to them by name arrived in their hands. Not a court document. Not a bill. A letter.

Something as simple as a letter can bring hope to dark places. That is not a metaphor. That is something I have witnessed with my own eyes, in work I do every week.

Hope runs thin in those spaces. Resources are scarce. And yet I have watched — over and over — what happens when someone receives something that says: you are not forgotten. You are worth the cost of a stamp. Someone thought of you.

That is what Eden Unlocked Publishing does. We print that message in as many forms as we can — devotional journals for your ministry, letters for your incarcerated neighbors, books for your children's church.
